Inspiring Songs I Love
We all need a little encouragement sometimes, and what better way to get that than through some music?! I hate the feeling when I find a song I love, but the lyrics are crap. Today, I'm sharing my playlist of songs that I love and have motivating lyrics as well.
1. "Afterlife" by Ingrid Michaelson
I love this song about facing your fears. It's a great tune, and the lyrics are great. We are the afterlife is we believe in Jesus, and yes, we will be alright. The song's not religious, but I still interpret it that way.
2. "Beautiful Now" by Zedd
This is my favorite song ever. My cousin Amanda showed this to me when she came down over the summer, and I fell in love with it. The tune is awesome, and I interpreted the lyrics into something really cool. I suppose if you have a dirty mind you could interpret it one way, but I made it into a message of life being beautiful and being a light for God. I've been doing a lot of writing work based on this.
3. "Wake Me Up" by Group 1 Crew
This song is religious, and I love it. The message is great, and I love the voice and tune.
4. "Forever Reign" by Hillsong
Another religious song, I heard it in church and went to search it on YouTube. The melody is perfection, and every time I listen to the lyrics it fills my heart with so much joy about God.
5. "Surrender" by Cash Cash
This one is probably a love song. That's how I saw it the first time I heard it, but I actually transformed it into something different. The person the singer is referring to could be God, even despite the "hold me now" part. That could be interpreted as her needing to know God or His strength. That's probably not at all how they wanted people to think of it, but that's how I think of it.
