Movies, The 4th of July, and Blogs I Love
It has been forever since I've done a random post where I just talk to everyone. While I believe it's important to think and plan out blog posts, sometimes that gets exhausting and sometimes, just like in real life, we just need to talk randomly. So that's what I'm gonna do today.
There are three main topics I wanted to talk about today; the first being movies because there are some new releases I must fangirl over, second is the 4th because I'm pumped for it, and third blogs I love. I hardly ever mention blogs I love so now I'm going to. So here we go with the rambling...
I heard there's going to be a God's Not Dead II. I loved the first movie and honestly I have no clue what this one will be about but I still want to see it since they did such a good job with the first one. I seriously know nothing other than the fact they're making a second one though.
What I'm really excited for is Mockingjay Part 2! I love The Hunger Games. So much. So so so much. I didn't see any of them until just last fall because they were on my mom's never-let-Ashlee-see-this-in-her-life list. But then we were going to the video place after school and apparently Billy Madison is worse than The Hunger Games. Don't ask about Billy Madison. It's a long story and I'm probably embarrassing my mom right now.
Back to the point. I got the first and second movies and when Hunter and Dad went to a hockey game that night we watched the first movie. I caught on pretty quickly but my mom did not. The next day we watched the second which sparked my interest even more. They're amazing movies, and honestly, they were not that gory. I was expecting way worse from both. My mom finally started getting into them after the second movie and thankfully Part One of Mockingjay would be in the theaters one week later. So we went to that and holy.heck. I've been dying ever since. I read all the books and truthfully I loved the books but I hope the series ends with maybe a little more hope than how the book ended. And are you Team Peeta or Team Gale? I always go back and forth but I think I'm leaning more towards Gale. Of course she doesn't pick him.
I'm so excited! Somehow I managed to not buy one patriotic item while at the Spencer mall, Okoboji shops, and Walmart two different times. I did buy a new black tank top though so I'll just wear all black. Whoop whoop. What are your plans for tomorrow? I seriously won't be doing a whole lot but tomorrow there is a really cool local event in the morning that I will be attending. I'll blog about that later. Then later in the evening we'll probably eat outside or something and do sparklers. And hopefully if Gramps is up for it since he's suffering a kidney stone and will be having surgery in a week, we'll go look for some fireworks to watch. I'm really hoping I can see fireworks somewhere if not up here. And then I'll have to go home. That's a good thing but yet it's not.
All the titles are clickable so that you can go stalk them yourself!
Lisa Schroeder, Author: I just love Lisa. Her books, every one of them, and her blog is just awesome as well. We've been corresponding with each other since I was eight and I talked to her like a starstruck ADHD chimpanzee about writing and such. She's helped me so much in writing and she deserves so many more awards for her books. So go read them and then read her blog. You can thank me later.
Living in Yellow: Erin is absolutely hilarious and she blogs about anything and what's why I love her blog so much. You can never be bored there. It's just a positive, fun blog to read!
Mostly Morgan: I love how Morgan's posts are always so helpful and I love that she has dreams and goals. She is one blogger I definitely look forward to seeing more of what she does.
Rekita Nicole Designs Blog: I used to follow Rekita's old blog Her & Nicole and loved it and then she switched to doing a blog for her designs website. I love it! It mostly consists of posts over blog design but she also includes freebies and funny and truthful posts over her personal life as well. What's not to love?
And of course, there are many other blogs I love too, but these are the ones I thought I'd rave about today. Don't worry, there will be more posts like this.
