As I look through all my blog posts, I realize there is one topic I haven’t blogged much about: my “doog” Willy. It’s been a little over a year since we’ve had him, and tomorrow is the day we picked him up.
He’s a “yellow lab”, but seriously the only yellow on him is the outline of his ears + a few spots down his spine. Otherwise, he’s a snow lab… And I know that’s not what they’re called. We’re training him to hunt – he’s already a natural. He loves birds. Fish…? Not so much…
So for those asking about him or want to see pics, then this is the post for you! I guess you could consider this a late happy birthday/welcome home anniversary post. I’ll start with the good ole puppy days…

Oh, the days when he was allowed on the couch! Heck, I remember when he couldn’t even jump up on it himself, and we’d all be like patting the couch, “Come on Willy! You can do it!” Well now, if he tries to get up there, he knows to get his butt off.
Believe it or not, I used to be able to pick him up as easily as I would my phone. I’m not even going to try it today, because the last things my parents need is more medical bills.
He loves (and still loves) to give kisses!

Yep, that’s my baby doog. Now here he is today…
He loves to visit the lake!
I was not kidding when I said he’s a bird dog. He loves to harass the birds outside on our bird feeder.
Oh baby. Silly. Willard. Mr. Willy. The Willard. Mr. Silly. See-lee. Wee-lee. *insert the other 200 nicknames*
During the summer we really work on him with retrieving. We live near a lake, so it works out perfect to take his duck floater out and watch him swim to get it.
Cannot wait for the many adventures to come this summer!
