The Dog, Lake, and a Cross Country Meet + Basketball Wish List
Happy Friday people! I am so thankful for that glorious day of the week. Today I thought we'd just have another talking session. Everybody loves those right?!
First off, cross country ended Monday with my last two mile home meet! I set a new record for myself in time, around 16:40. Normally I am in the 17 and 18 minute range, so that was nice. It was the hardest one I ran, I seriously thought about falling over when I had a minute left. It was a good season though. I'll probably do it again next year too.
I am very thankful to God for getting me through it, and for a family who comes out and cheers me on. The other night Dad and I took Willy for a walk over to a nearby pond, and we had him do a few retrieves. Then just last night we took him over to the lake we're close to.
These were pics from last night.
I was so proud of myself for getting Willy in the background of this pic!
I didn't even mean to get this picture, but I really love the blurred effect! After it is the photo I was trying to get.
And below...is what happens when you have a white dog and are buried in a corner of your car with him while wearing black leggings.
Willy is such a good boy. I am so thankful for all God has blessed me with.
It was a beautiful night. I mean...wow. I am really just so thankful for God and all He has done. Now on to basketball. I'm guessing it will be starting soon, so I put together a wish list. Be sure to check out my Wishbin here that is like an online Christmas list! This site is amazing - I give it to my mom for shopping, and no extra links needed! Then buy me everything. Or at least one thing. ;)
Tonight = watching hockey. Minnesota is dominating this year (just like I thought they would), and I am praying they remain undefeated after tonight. It'll be a good game. Last night they didn't play until nine, and I had school. That sucked. Tonight they don't play until 9:30, but it's FriYAY! Hunter and I also went to go pick up decoys for tomorrow when the boys go hunting and these. Pictures. We were at a pond nearby us, and I did some running too. Cross country may be over, but I still want to stay in shape.
I have a fascination with the planes. I just love seeing them make streaks across the sky, and just how God created it possible for such a thing... It also brings back great memories of Florida. I so want to fly again.
Right now one of my friends and I are working on stories for a Scholastic contest that I entered awhile back! I know what I want to write as my second novel, and during the summer I toyed with the beginning. I'm going to be using an excerpt, and I feel confident! I just hope my story doesn't get suspended for mentioning "God" or something. It's not like it has all this preaching in it, but just some brief mentions. It's the beginning of the story, so I couldn't mention Him a lot anyway, but with our country, who knows? Whatever, though. It's pretty pathetic if they suspend me, and I don't need to be in their contest then.
There wasn't any rules or mentions about it either, so I'm not too worried. Please just pray for my story though, and pray that God takes this far!
