Holy no posts anymore. It’s not that I’ve been lazy or even a lack of motivation – I just chose not to post because I’ve been working on the design of my blog. Let me clarify that: not the actual blog design – not yet anyway. I’m redoing all the images for my blog posts. They never matched my “brand” so I’m redoing them. As much as I think I haven’t posted a lot, these images are proving me wrong. I’ve never hated designing so much. I absolutely despise doing blog images. Oh, for the love of the blog though, right?
So I just want to play catch up right now.
There is the cutest little park only a few minutes away from us and we all went over there for a little bit with Willy. He barely even needed his leash!
Also, I’m totally done editing my book! Now it will be another two years until I can finalize it because it has to get printed. I am so thankful for all God has done with that book and what He will do with it now. Which, it’s totally in His hands now. I have read over that thing so many times I’m about to the point where I never want to read it again. Except for when it’s perfect, of course. Let’s just get to that part already.
Also, I have a problem. If I know I can type something, I’m super lazy and don’t want to actually write. It’s taken me some serious self discipline to jot down my new ideas. Ugh, technology problems.
Oh, I got quite a good picture the other day. Look closely. Tell me what is wrong with this picture.
Just a potential tornado. No big deal. We don’t need to issue a tornado watch or anything even though some will be able to actually see one forming, said all the weathermen apparently. It was fine, it didn’t touch the ground, but come ON. Was it right on top of the weather station, because how do you not warn people of that? What if it touched? OH MY GOSH! A tornado! Everyone hurry to your basements, said the weathermen once it was on top of my house.
Unfortunately, summer is coming to an end. I’m okay with that. I just learned how to mow today, too. That was kind of fun. Well anyway, I got some last few pics of sunsets out walking Willy to send summer off.
I’m also obsessed with taking panoramas now. They’re the coolest.
Like I said. Iowa threw us some 60 degree weather (what the heck? It’s still August) and it made me realize how excited I am for fall. Not to mention a week ago I went shopping with Mom and got tons of good deals on socks for XC, sports bras, leggings for running, sweat pants (not shopping with mom, details in a minute), shirts, basketball shorts, and so I was excited. Oh, you gotta hear this. When I was shopping with Mom she got me a pair of Under Armour sweats for $40. I had none though. The other day, we were dropping off clothes I didn’t need since I just recently went through my closet. We found another pair of cute Under Armour sweats for $20 and in great condition. Mom had money from them to spend too so we really got them for like $4. Thank you, God… I also tried on a hoodie that I knew was too small but they didn’t make that style anymore. #desperate
Let’s talk about that other day. I needed a haircut and I hate them. Two reasons. One: I like long hair, sorry Dad. And it seems they always take one too many inches off. Two: world’s most sensitive head rests on my shoulders. Not lying. Talk to Mom, Grandma, and my cousin Amanda. They can testify to that. Well, I had the best haircut ever. But that’s getting ahead of myself. I don’t know why I’m including this, but we ate at the Frontier cafe. That information is very important. It could save your taste buds. I mean gosh. Best cheeseballs, best mozerella sticks, best cheeseburgers, best fries, best pickles, best omelettes. And I have so many good memories there, it’s my fave restaurant.
Now to the haircut. Best one ever! The salon there was so cute, the lady who cut my hair was awesome, and she did not hurt me one bit. Not one bit. I could’ve died. Oh, and hardly none of my hair got chopped off. She used this awesome brush that we ended up buying because hello, no more pain to my head ever again. I got it in pink of course.
Now just a few more random pictures for you.
I’m done rambling now. I’m very thankful for everything God has taught my family this summer. From trust, to being a family, and forgiveness too. Time for fall, baby! Willy is gonna HUNT! I hope I can too, except I have no camo danggit. I’m also legal to shoot my own stuff now. That sounded wrong. I’m gonna go now. Thanks for catching up!
